Arkendia ("we", "our") develops and publishes the FlightInk application ("the App"). We are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and what your rights are.
1. Data Collected
FlightInk only collects and stores data that you voluntarily enter:
- Flight data: departure and arrival airports, flight date, airline, flight number, travel class, seat number, personal notes.
- Photos: if you choose to add photos to your flights, they are stored locally on your device and synced via iCloud if enabled.
We do not collect any personal identification data (name, email, address, phone number) or location data.
2. Data Storage
Your data is stored:
- Locally on your device via SwiftData.
- On iCloud (Apple CloudKit) if you have enabled iCloud sync. Your data is then hosted on Apple's servers in your private iCloud container. We do not have access to your personal iCloud container.
3. Data Sharing
We do not share, sell, or transmit any of your data to third parties. Your flight data remains exclusively on your device and in your private iCloud account.
4. Analytics and Advertising
FlightInk contains no analytics tools, trackers, or advertising. We do not collect any usage data, behavioral metrics, or display any ads.
5. In-App Purchases
FlightInk offers in-app purchases (Premium subscription and lifetime purchase) managed entirely by Apple through the In-App Purchase system. We have no access to any payment data (credit card, Apple Pay credentials). Transactions are processed and secured by Apple.
6. Photo Library Access
The App may request access to your photo library solely to allow you to add photos to your flights. This access is optional and requires your explicit permission. Selected photos are stored locally and on iCloud, never on our servers.
7. Security
Your data benefits from Apple's security protections:
- Encryption of data in transit and at rest via iCloud.
- Device authentication via your Apple account.
- Local storage protected by the iOS security system.
8. User Rights
In accordance with GDPR and applicable regulations, you have the following rights:
- Access: all your data is visible directly in the App.
- Deletion: you can delete any flight or all your data from within the App. Uninstalling the App erases all local data.
- Portability: you can export your flight data from the App.
- Rectification: you can edit your flights at any time.
9. Children's Data
FlightInk is not specifically directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
10. Changes
We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
